Day 5

Good job on the first work week. Make smart choices this weekend and stick to the system.

  2. 7AM - 6oz grilled chicken breast, 3oz yellow onions, 2oz macadamia nuts

    10AM - banana

    12PM - 8oz shrimp, 1 green bell pepper, 2oz sweet onion, 3oz mushroom, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice

    4PM - 1 orange, 2oz macadamia nuts

    6PM - banana

    7:30PM- 2 cups spinach, 1/2 cucumber, 3oz carrots, 1 roma tomato, 1/2 avacado, 8oz shrimp, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tsp olive oil, 1 oz walnuts = amazing salad!

    2:00 - rotisserie chicken-2 pieces, sauteed asparagus, 1 c. grapefruit

    6:00 - chili, tomato, 1/4 avacodo, steamed arichoke
    8:00 - fruit smoothie, 2 tbs.flax seeds, 5 carrots,frozen blueberries, mangoes, cherries

    7:00- 1 ½ deer burger patties, steamed veggies

    6:00- spaghetti squash with ground turkey and tomato sauce (made with organic salt free tom.)

    8:30- banana and 2 tbls almond butter

  8. 8:30am: blueberry smoothie (1 c. blueberries, 1/2 banana, 1 c. homemade almond milk*, 3 cooked egg whites)
    10:30am: orange (1) and almonds (8)
    12:30pm: beef stew (1 1/4 c.), peach (1), and some cantaloupe
    2:00pm: almonds (8)
    4:00pm: raisins (pre-workout)
    7:00pm: Rehearsal Dinner at Vincent's: shrimp appetizer, salad with olive oil and lemon dressing, snapper with crab meat (hold the butter white wine sauce), green beans, and berries for dessert.

    So freaking hard to pass up decadent chocolate cake, wine and lots of yummy pasta.... somehow I managed... definitely going to have to use my cheat meal at the wedding tomorrow.... don't know if I can be that strong again!!

  9. Day 5 Paleo Challenge - Ryan W.
    Breakfast- banana + baby orange

    Lunch- 10 oz top sirloin steak + 1 cup of sweet potato hash + small bowl of fresh spinach w/ paleo dressing

    Snack - two venison snack sticks

    Dinner - 15 pieces of venison sausage (w/ cheese and jalapeno) + grilled chicken + bowl of fresh spinach w/ paleo dressing (Sorry, dinner at friend's house)

    Snack - 6 oz blackberries

  12. Didn't wake up till late so its starts at lunch
    12:00 - Chicken w Red Pepper Sauce & Marinated Mushrooms
    3 - Handful of Blueberries & Ice Tea sweetened with raw honey
    6:10 - Citrus pork chops & steamed carrots with drizzled raw honey
    9 - Sherbert (frozen smoothie): 1 banana, blueberries and strawberries

    1:00-4 grilled chicken tenders, spinach salad, carrots

    3:00 (was in meetings all afternoon, so I didn’t get to eat my snack)

    6:30 CHEAT MEAL!!!

    6:30 - cheat meal: 50 Men Who Can Cook - didn't eat a lot (a few bite size samplings of some yummy foods and 2 glasses of wine! - Charlie's beans were delicious! Great job!)

    11:30am - orange, Rockin Refuel Chocolate Milk (this made me feel really gassey all day, my body is not used to dairy anymore)
    12:30am - orange, 1/4 cup almonds
    1:30pm - 2 cups baby carrots
    2pm - 1/3 pound turkey, 1/3 pound pork loin, 1 oz lean brisket (rudy's)
    4pm - 1/4 cup almonds
    5pm - 1/3 cup walnuts, 2 cups grapes
    6:30pm - 1 oz of grilled chocolate chicken with lime butter sauce (sample from 50 Men Who Can Cook fundraiser), 2 light beers (12 oz)
    8:30pm - 1/4 cup walnuts
    10:30pm - 2 cups grapes, homeade almond milk shake (1 banana, 2 cups almond milk, 2 tbsp almond butter)

    1100 - Banana
    1230 - Little less than a 8 oz brisket with small amount of BBQ sauce and cucumbers with some kind of dressing on them but minimal. Also had tea w/sweet-n-low
    2000 - Top sirloin steak with egg noodles and mushroom sauce. Salad w/tomato and cucumber and homemade balsamic dressing. Whiskey and diet coke.
    ? what time - 2 or 3 squares of Dove chocolate

    Just want to say that things are much more in control when I am at home. We are at my mom and dads house for the weekend and this (in retrospect) was not so good for paleo.
